Read MoreThe Service has introduced an expanded chatbot to promptly address inquiries of taxpayers receiving notices about possible underreporting of taxes. The new chatbot feature will assist taxpayers receiving CP2000 , CP2501 and CP3219A notices. This tech expansion is backed by Inflation Reduction Act funding to enhance IRS services for taxpayers.
The chatbot‘s rollout continues to build upon previous IRS achievements with technology, aiding over 13 million taxpayers in resolving tax issues and setting up approximately $151 million in payment agreements since January 2022.
