Read MoreOn November 5, 2024, voters in Seminole County approved a ballot referendum extending the expiration date of Seminole County’s 1% Local Government Infrastructure Surtax from December 31, 2024, to December 31, 2034, for Florida sales and use tax purposes. The total state and local sales and use tax rate for Seminole County continues to be 7%. The total rate for Seminole County is composed of the 6% state sales and use tax rate and the 1% Local Government Infrastructure Surtax rate. State sales tax and local surtax collected must be reported and remitted to the Florida Department of Revenue.
